Campbell Primary School uses of a restorative approach to behaviour management.
Positive relationships are at the heart of restorative practice where those who cause harm need to face up to the harm they cause and those who have been harmed are heard and have a say in how the harm is repaired.
Teachers have been trained to address conflicts by asking five questions;
- What happened?
- What were you thinking at the time?
- What have you thought about since?
- Who has been affected by what you did and in what way?
- What do you think you need to do to make things right?
